A Rain Water Alarm is a useful device designed to detect rainfall and alert the user immediately. This project offers a practical, beginner-friendly way to build your own rain detector using basic components like a comparator and a timer IC.

it uses two rain-sensing metal probes placed outside in the open. When raindrops connect the probes, they generate a small voltage. This signal is sent to an LM741CH op-amp, which acts as a voltage comparator.

If rain is detected, the op-amp sends a HIGH output that triggers a 555 timer IC in monostable mode. The timer immediately activates a 200Hz buzzer, producing an audible alert. This entire process happens within a second of rainfall, making it reliable and effective.
