Abstract

The Wi-Fi Robot Project is a microcontroller-based robotic vehicle that can be wirelessly controlled using a smartphone, computer, or web interface over a local Wi-Fi network. The project combines IoT technology, motor drivers, and web server-based control to enable remote navigation and operation. It’s ideal for surveillance, automation, and educational applications.

Objectives

  • Design a robot controlled via Wi-Fi using a web browser or mobile app.

  • Interface motors and sensors with a Wi-Fi-enabled microcontroller (e.g., NodeMCU or ESP32).

  • Enable real-time movement commands like forward, reverse, left, right, and stop.

Working Principle

  • The robot creates or connects to a Wi-Fi network.

  • When buttons are clicked on the interface, commands are sent to the microcontroller.

  • The microcontroller translates these commands into motor actions via the motor driver.

  • Optionally, real-time feedback (like camera or sensor data) can be streamed.

Methodology

  2. Connect motor driver to NodeMCU or ESP32.

  3. Write Arduino code to control motor pins based on HTTP requests.
