The Automatic Street Light Two Way Control Project is a smart system designed to automate street lighting based on ambient light and motion detection from either direction of the road. It improves energy efficiency by ensuring street lights operate only when needed—during nighttime and when motion is detected. This project uses sensors like LDRs and PIR/motion sensors, combined with microcontrollers to control the switching mechanism.

Working Principle

The system continuously monitors light levels using the LDR. When darkness is detected (light level below a threshold), the circuit activates. Two PIR sensors are placed in opposite directions along the road. When motion is detected by either sensor, the nearby street lights turn on for a specific time duration. If no movement is detected, the lights turn off automatically to conserve energy.

Methodology
