The Raindrops Detection Sensor Module serves as a rain detection and rainfall intensity measurement tool. It finds applications in various weather monitoring scenarios, translating data into output signals and analog outputs.
This Raindrops Detection Sensor Module, designed for Arduino and similar platforms, allows for the monitoring of diverse weather conditions, generating multiple fixed output signals and analog data.
This module comprises a printed circuit board (control board) responsible for collecting raindrops. As raindrops accumulate on the circuit board, they establish paths of parallel resistance, which an op-amp measures. The voltage output decreases as resistance decreases due to more water, while less water results in a higher analog pin output. For instance, a completely dry board triggers a 5V output.
The module features both a rain board and a separate control board for enhanced convenience. Additionally, it boasts a power indicator LED and adjustable sensitivity via a potentiometer. This module operates based on the LM393 op-amp.
